Use Firestone products to solve a wide range of actuation and isolation problems. These problem solvers demonstrate unique air spring applications that may help you resolve a problem. They are also useful as ideas generators for air spring technology.

Gas Pumping A system of timing belts and pulleys powered by a 1725 rpm motor operate four Airstroke actuators featuring custom end plates with two 1/2" BSP ports.
Vibratory Packer Firestone air springs are used for both actuation and isolation purposes. The air springs inflate to lift the container from the rollers and, while inflated, isolate the vibration.
Check Valve Lapping An Airstroke® actuator is used to raise the valve seat into contact with the ball lap, and a rotary table turns the actuator counterclockwise to duplicate the oscillating motion.

Power Transmission System An Airstroke actuator used between the V-belt pulley and the shiftable part inflates, thus allowing engagement and power transfer.
Coil Holder An Airstroke actuator exerts pressure, spreads clamping arms into the coils, and holds the coil firmly at top and bottom during processing.
Pipe Weld Clamp Small Airstroke actuators are positioned on a core. When inflated, the actuators extend four clamp shoes to the pipe's sides and hold the pipe tight.
