New WA branch extends capabilities of pneumatics specialist Air Springs Supply

One of Australia's leading specialists in pneumatic actuation and isolation and vehicle air suspensions, Air Springs Supply Pty Ltd, has established a new fully owned branch in Western Australia to expand its national supply and service network.

Mr Allan Shewell of WA Air Springs (Aust) Pty Ltd WA Air Springs (Aust) Pty Ltd, headed by Manager Mr Allan Shewell, will service automotive, industrial and transport markets for Airstroke actuators, Airmount isolators, Ride-Rite supplementary suspension systems and Airride heavy vehicle air springs from the world s largest producer of these products, Firestone.

The expanded branch building of the success of the WA Air Springs organisation established by Mr Len Warner - will also stock and provide technical support for a comprehensive range of complementary air spring products from Continental, Europe's leading supplier.

Air Springs Supply Managing Director Mr Andrew Cameron says the appointment of Mr Shewell and establishment of the full branch will extend existing Air Springs strengths in WA and add new capabilities of benefit to markets ranging from automotive and transport through to engineering, manufacturing, mining and construction, materials handling, packaging and processing.

Drawing on Mr Shewell s engineering and marketing experience, strong support will be given to products such as Ride-Rite supplementary air suspension kits for work and recreational vehicles such as 4wds, utes, vans, light trucks and specialist vehicles used by tradesmen, builders and service providers.

Alan Shewell has more than a decades experience in the engineering, technical support and marketing of our entire range of industrial and transport products. His skills encompass industrial engineering including actuation and isolation problem solving as well as heavy transport applications of air springs. He has been involved in the engineering of Ride-Rite suspension systems from their very beginning in 1991, gaining experience that will be integral to our further development of this product in conjunction with national Ride-Rite distributor Airbag Man.

Mr Shewell says WA offers great growth potential for both industrial and transport products. Because the market in WA is relatively untapped for air suspension kits, for example, we will be devoting much time to developing awareness of them. We will assist dealers to become more involved with Ride-Rite product lines and we will improve access to them. We intend to participate in various trade shows to ensure we are seen to be active in the market, while at the same time creating greater product awareness to benefit our dealers and fitment centres.

We also see great potential in the mining industry, of which WA is a main hub. There are many applications for our products in mining and processing, including the use of industrial air springs as pneumatic actuators and isolators and applications of Marsh Mellow springs in vibrating screens and underground mining vehicle suspensions.

We also see considerable potential in mining and construction work vehicles for Ride-Rite spring kits and for our heavy duty air springs in large truck and trailer suspensions.
